ReverbNation Status Report: June 2009

ReverbNation National Charts (Jamaica) - June 27 2009
I thought that it would be cool if I did a monthly post to share my ReverbNation statistics with my existing and prospective fans. Thanks to my Fans and Street Team members, I'm still number two (2) on the National Charts. Anyways, you can now look out for this monthly post which will seek to summarize my activities and whats happening on ReverbNation.
My Band Equity Score
It's a good day to be writing about my performance on the ReverbNation charts as by Band Equity Score is up by 10 points. Not that 10 points is really significant, just that gaining 10 points is better than loosing the same. This is an ReverbNation's overall measurement of your influence as an Artist. I am now at 1628 points, this is down from my highest of 2251 between February and March when I was number one on the national (Jamaica) charts for three consecutive weeks. As you can see from the image below, it fluctuates from day-day depending on what's happening with your statistics (listeners, plays, visits, new fans, etc.). In other words your score should increase as your fans interaction with your profile increases.

ReverbNation Band Equity Graph (30 Days) - June-2009
As you can see from the image above, I started the month just below 1600 points. The release of two new demos did some good, as my score increased to just over 1900 points after I sent out the ReverbNation FanReach announcement. This email went out to just over 290 contacts who subscribe to my fan mail. Its interesting to note that this announcement only had a click-through rate of 2%. It seems most individuals will read the message but won't follow up with a click. I guess I'll have to work on making my emails more engaging.
My Listeners, Song Plays & Visits

The listener statistic is calculated nightly, It represents the number of unique listeners in the last 60 days. This includes people who listen via Widgets, Facebook applications, Webs widgets, TunePaks (email and IM), and your profile page at ReverbNation.
Plays are calculated nightly and it represents the total number of plays you've received (all time). Night Nurse is still my most popular song as it gets the most plays and Keep Rising is rated as the most engaging since my listeners listen up to 69% of this song when they play it. As you can see from the image below, your plays will fluctuate from day to day. The good thing about the tools provided by ReverbNation, is that you can see how your channels stack up against one another.

Views of your ReverbNation, Facebook, or Bebo profile page are calculated nightly. So far I've got a total of 2788 visits since I started the profile. This isn't so bad since visits aren't so easy to come by. Its one thing to ask someone to play a song embedded in or attached to their email that's in front of them and another to ask them to go visit another website entirely. Not only that, but how many times are you gonna visit the same profile?
My New Demos
I have completed and uploaded two new demos, Been So Long and Blaze Yo!. I recorded them at the Tuff Gong recording studios on Sunday, June 7, 2009. Both tracks feature my longtime sidekick Beje who I got at the last minute - about two hours before the start of our recording session. I'm glad I finally got around to recording the new demos as I had been putting it off for a while. The beats were provided by BugBee Productions and Remeniz Productions from Peterborough, UK. I uploadedĀ the rough mix from the first session so the demos need some more work in terms of cleaning up the vocal tracks before mixing. Take a listen and leave your comments so we can know what you think about the demos.
My Conclusions
So far so good, I'm doing ok for someone who isn't doing any promotions. The last two months were tough on me in terms of finding the time to interact with my fan base and promote my music. That aside, I must say thanks for the support from all the fans and Street Team members who continue to support my music by visiting my profile, playing my songs, installing widgets, leaving comments etc. I really appreciate it.
Till next month...

I checked out this site and also the Facebook page and found the sites to be good looking, well laid out, and easy to navigate. I enjoyed the visit so much that I submitted it to SU and will write a more vibrant review after I have had a chance to listen to the music and view the videos. Congratulations for doing a great job!
